The Challenge

Fairexx faced the challenge of making its logistics processes for events and trade shows more efficient. Manually managing inventories, tracking shipments, and handling crucial documentation such as customs papers and return labels led to delays and errors. The existing systems did not provide sufficient oversight of where products were located or when they would return to stock. Fairexx needed a digital solution that would streamline the logistics process, give staff real-time insights, and provide external suppliers access to track the progress of their shipments.

Implementation of the IT solution

Innovine, in collaboration with Fairexx, developed a Logistics Information System (FLIS), specifically designed to digitize and automate the complex logistics processes for events and trade shows. This system provides Fairexx employees with complete visibility into the location and status of all goods, from pick-up to return shipment after an event.

FLIS tracks all inventories, schedules transportation to trade shows and events, and closely monitors when products return to the warehouse. The system also enables external suppliers to access specific information, such as inventory status and scheduling, enhancing transparency throughout the process.

The implementation of the system was carried out in phases, ensuring the logistics process could continue uninterrupted during the transition. Innovine ensured integration with existing systems and provided training to Fairexx staff to ensure a smooth transition.
